Optional Google Analytics uses _ga and _ga_* cookies after acceptance. Both Analytics streams use the default two-year cookie lifetime, renewed on activity; browser limits may shorten it. Advertising and social pixels are not enabled by this release.
3. Cookie Categories
3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the website and LucentStar AI application to function. They cannot be switched off. They are set in response to actions you take, such as logging in. No consent is required for these cookies under PECR.
3.2 Performance and Analytics Cookies
Google Analytics loads only after analytics acceptance. The Analytics property has two-month event retention and fourteen-month user retention, renewed on activity; these settings do not limit aggregated standard reports.
3.3 Marketing and Advertising Cookies (not currently in use)
We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. If we introduce tools such as LinkedIn Insight Tag or Meta Pixel in the future, we will update this policy and request your consent.
4. Cookies Inside the LucentStar AI App
When you use the LucentStar AI application as an authenticated user, a session cookie (connect.sid) is used to maintain your logged-in state. This is strictly necessary for the application to function. No consent is required. Optional analytics uses the same preference on sign-in, welcome and signed-in pages. Reject prevents the analytics loader and optional events. Withdrawal disables further analytics and removes accessible analytics cookies without removing the essential session cookie. Choices on the website and blog are stored separately by origin.
