LucentStar AI Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the LucentStar AI platform ("the Service"), operated by LucentStar AI. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
These Terms apply to individual users. If you are accessing LucentStar AI on behalf of a business or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. The Service
LucentStar AI is an AI-powered content generation platform designed for B2B marketing professionals. The Service enables users to:
Generate LinkedIn posts, blog content, and social copy using AI
Score and refine generated content
Schedule and manage a content calendar
Export content in multiple formats
Configure a ghost writing profile and brand voice
The Service uses the Claude API, operated by Anthropic PBC, to generate content. Use of AI within the Service is subject to the AI disclosure in Section 9 and in our Privacy Policy.
3. Eligibility
To use LucentStar AI, you must:
Be at least 18 years of age
Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
Not be prohibited from using the Service under the laws of any applicable jurisdiction
Provide accurate and complete registration information
4. Account Registration
You must register for an account to access the Service. You agree to:
Provide accurate, current, and complete information at registration
Keep your account information up to date
Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
Notify us immediately at hello@lucentstar.ai of any unauthorised use of your account
Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts where registration information is found to be inaccurate, fraudulent, or in breach of these Terms.
5. Subscription Plans and Fees
5.1 Plan tiers
LucentStar AI is available on the following plans:
Free
3 posts per month. No credit card required. Access to core generation features.
Creator
Paid monthly subscription. 20 posts per month. Access to all standard features.
Pro
Paid monthly subscription. 75 posts per month. Full feature access.
Current pricing for paid plans is set out on our website at lucentstar.ai/pricing. We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days notice to existing subscribers.
5.2 Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. By providing payment details, you authorise LucentStar AI to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as set out in Section 5.4.
5.3 Post credits and quota
Your monthly post allowance resets at the start of each calendar month. Unused credits do not roll over. Each post generation costs 1 credit. Each refinement costs a fractional credit. Your current usage and remaining credits are shown in the LucentStar AI dashboard.
5.4 Cancellation
You may cancel your paid subscription at any time from the LucentStar AI billing page. On cancellation:
Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period
You will not be charged for subsequent periods
Your account will revert to the Free plan at the end of the billing period
Your account data, including saved posts, will be retained and accessible on the Free plan
5.5 Refunds
We do not offer refunds for partial months or unused credits, except where required by applicable law. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if you are a UK consumer and you have not begun using the Service, you may have a 14-day right of withdrawal. By creating an account and accessing the Service, you acknowledge that the Service begins immediately and that this right of withdrawal is waived from the point of first use.
If you have a billing dispute, please contact hello@lucentstar.ai within 30 days of the charge.
5.6 Failed payments and suspension
If a payment fails, we will notify you by email. We will retry the charge and allow a grace period before restricting access. If payment cannot be recovered, your account may be downgraded to the Free plan. Billing records are retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy regardless of account status.
6. Acceptable Use
You must use LucentStar AI only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
Use the Service to generate content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, abusive, threatening, obscene, or that promotes discrimination or hatred
Use the Service to generate spam, unsolicited commercial communications, or deceptive content
Use the Service to impersonate any person, organisation, or brand without authorisation
Use the Service to generate content that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying AI model, prompts, or system architecture
Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with the Service beyond normal use
Share your account credentials with others or allow unauthorised access to your account
Attempt to circumvent usage limits, quotas, or subscription restrictions
Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our infrastructure or interfere with other users
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these acceptable use requirements, without refund.
7. User Content
7.1 Your content
You retain ownership of all content you create, upload, or input into LucentStar AI, including your ghost writing profile, brand voice files, topics, and saved posts ("Your Content").
7.2 Licence to us
By using the Service, you grant LucentStar AI a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process, store, and transmit Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not use Your Content to train AI models or for any commercial purpose beyond operating the Service.
7.3 AI-generated outputs
Content generated by the AI is provided to you as output. You are free to use, edit, publish, or discard that output as you see fit, subject to any applicable third-party terms (including Anthropic's usage policies). You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated outputs before publishing or distributing them.
7.4 Your responsibility
You are solely responsible for Your Content and all AI-generated outputs you choose to publish or distribute. LucentStar AI is not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or appropriateness of published content.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Our IP
All intellectual property rights in the LucentStar AI platform, including the software, interface, design, prompts, and scoring systems, belong to LucentStar AI or our licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership of our IP to you.
8.2 Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use that feedback for any purpose, without obligation to you.
9. AI Disclosure
LucentStar AI uses artificial intelligence to generate content. You should be aware that:
Content is generated by the Claude AI model, operated by Anthropic PBC, on the basis of the inputs you provide
Your prompts and inputs are transmitted to Anthropic for processing as part of the generation process (see our Privacy Policy)
AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, outdated information, or unintended bias
The quality score provided by LucentStar AI is an automated AI-based assessment, not a guarantee of content performance
You are responsible for reviewing all generated content for accuracy, appropriateness, and legal compliance before publishing
LucentStar AI is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or integrated with LinkedIn or any other social media platform — scheduling within the app sets a date only and does not publish directly to any platform
Human oversight of AI-generated content before publication is strongly recommended
10. Availability and Service Levels
We aim to provide LucentStar AI on an "as available" basis. We do not provide a guaranteed uptime or service level commitment at this stage. We will make reasonable efforts to:
Provide advance notice of planned maintenance
Restore service promptly in the event of unplanned downtime
Notify users of significant service disruptions by email
We are not liable for loss or damage caused by service unavailability, delays, or interruptions.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Our total liability to you in connection with the Service in any 12-month period shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to LucentStar AI in that period (or £50 if you are on a free plan)
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, reputational harm, or loss of business opportunity
We are not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on AI-generated content without appropriate review
We are not liable for the actions or outputs of third-party services, including Anthropic, Stripe, or any social media platform
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by English law.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold LucentStar AI harmless from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service in breach of these Terms; (b) Your Content; or (c) any content you publish that was generated using LucentStar AI.
13. Termination
13.1 Termination by you
You may close your account at any time by contacting hello@lucentstar.ai. Closure takes effect within 30 days. Your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
13.2 Termination by us
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you:
Breach these Terms (including the Acceptable Use requirements in Section 6)
Fail to pay subscription fees and do not resolve the matter within the grace period
Provide false or fraudulent registration information
Use the Service in a way that creates legal, regulatory, or reputational risk for LucentStar AI
On termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. We will retain your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to the Service and These Terms
We may modify the Service, features, or pricing at any time. For material changes to these Terms, we will provide at least 30 days notice to registered users by email. Your continued use of the Service after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you do not accept the updated Terms, you may close your account before the changes take effect.
15. Privacy
Our collection and use of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy at lucentstar.ai/privacy-policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We encourage you to contact us at hello@lucentstar.ai in the first instance to resolve any dispute informally before initiating formal proceedings.
17. General
Entire agreement: these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy, constitute the entire agreement between us in relation to the Service
Severability: if any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force
Waiver: failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future
Assignment: you may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent
